INTERPRETERS' CAFÉ

This Café is intended to review how the pandemic has, or may have, impacted our interactions with agencies.
Are all agencies familiar with our profession? Are agencies setting service standards that override those locally established by the community of practitioners? Is it feasible to individually uphold our community interpreting standards?
While we may not share similar opinions about whether the agency ought to engage with the interpreter and/or the interpreting community, we might well agree that it takes courage to advocate for our professional standards.
As you know, sharing standard practices and creating new knowledge is part-and-parcel of a community of practice, so please consider attending this virtual Café. Your input and ideas are important.
