Biography

Debra Russell, the face of DLR Consulting, is internationally recognized for her pioneering efforts in signed/spoken language interpreting and interpreter education. As an AVLIC Certified Interpreter (COI), she works in a variety of community based settings, with a specialization in legal and mental health interpreting.  She also provides interpretation in international settings across a range of conferences for consumers from several countries.  

As an interpreter educator, she has addressed national and global audiences at forums, postsecondary events and professional conferences; her well-honed communication, interpersonal, and team-building talents invariably infuse her presentations with new insights, often stimulating lively discussion and debates.
